I have been to Kauai several times and stayed at the Sheraton 2 years ago. The property is located in Poipu and is quite decent. Waimea Canyon is considered the Grand Canyon of Hawaii and has many hiking trails. Polihale State Park has a wonderful secluded beach on the western side of the island just below the NaPali coast. The Wailua & falls are also quite scenic - the Fern Grotto is a bit touristy. On the north side of the island, the primary attraction is Hanalei and the lush tropical vegetation in & around the bay and hiking trails. Aloha & have fun!
