Thanks! This is late but I actually got a 250 mile brand new Jetta. I had to double check with the lot employee to make sure I'm not going to be charged 'Full Size' or 'Standard' rate for taking the wrong car out. Employee basically said to not worry about it but I'm still watching my credit card transactions hawkish.

Nice! I got a Jetta a few weeks ago at DEN from National (Emerald Aisle, so I chose it). Interior wasn't as nice as the VW's of a decade or so ago, but the powertrain more than made up for it - it's definitely my favorite intermediate/standard so far.
Sometimes you get lucky with these base reservations, depending on availability. Many years ago I reserved an Economy car from Fox at SNA and got a Jeep Liberty, and they didn't even try to upsell me first (as has been my experience with Dollar).
