I'm in two minds about service on a plane.

On one hand, I it's nice being seating in F and having someone waiting on you throughout the flight as most would expect from a first class cabin.

On the other hand, I feel guilty about ultimately treating someone like a "servant" who is there to wait on me hand and foot.
I've never used the call button in F (On CX, I just wandered into the galley when I wanted something even though I was told to use the button). Nice to stretch my legs, have a chat and see how things work as well.

Same with lounges. I'm quite capable of pouring myself a glass of something, or putting some food items on a plate rather than someone doing these trivial things for myself.

A lot of the time it's a lack of consistency that causes problems.
One flight you'll have a crew that makes sure your glass is never empty and they're pro-active. Or someone will be present in the cabin and if you're awake, ask if you require anything.
Next flight, rushed service and no interaction for the remainder of the flight.

Sometimes the crew seem to know what you want, other times it's such a burden for them after you seek them out and then it's hit and miss whether you get what you want.
