Plans for a train LAX-LAS still prevailing?
I read some articles about the closure of the "desert winds" route of Amtrak and the plans to introduce a talgo train (sponsored by the casinos) in 1998/99.

But I found nothing newer than 1999.

So are they still working on a train again?

I really wonder about that. Would LAX-LAS not be one of the most logical (as cash earning) routes for a train?
