TCP worked fine for me on the one occasion I used it - took a couple of weeks to be processed by the 'back office' but eventually he was moved next to the two of us. It was even the front row of a domestic flight, so still blocked for GCHs only at the time (he's silver).

Try ringing again, and make sure you have the BA locator number for both bookings.
