If you go to AA.com's booking page and click the + for your flights it says:

AA 65 Meals:
Lunch
Snack or Brunch

AA 211 Meals:
Snack $

This shows two meals on AA65 for no charge and AA211 has snacks for purchase. The dollar sign is a link to a popup that describes what they offer as a snack. If you've got the time, get something at JFK and take it on-board if you like. Sometimes the selection gets pretty bad depending upon how hungry the people in front of you get. Also, if you choose to buy on-board, it's CC only, no cash.
