I'm not sure you can expect BA to meddle another person's booking made via aa.com. Regardless of your status.

The To Complete Party benefit for GCHs works just fine if you are both on a BA booking, been there, done that. Never tried to have them seat a person who booked elsewhere, but my guess, even before reading this, is that it wouldn't work.
