I can understand the positioning of the First checkin area since it becomes a bit more secluded where it is located, but it's really not convenient...
Bit of a generalisation, I've seen some sizeable tensor-barrier queues at Club Check-In in recent weeks, plus if you're getting a taxi then you can be dropped at that end anyway.
