OK so it's not exactly in line with UUA, but I've been overcharged 3 times for upgrades offered at OLCI now.
The sequence went like this each time:
Travel booked via corporate TA for flights LHR-ARN as fully flexible (my plans change a lot).
At OLCI I'm offered a cabin upgrade, and a quote is displayed in SEK. Since it worked out around £80 sterling I took it. However after entering the card details and payment goes through, an error message is displayed saying it is not possible to upgrade this flight. BUT, the travel class has indeed now been changed to Club Europe.
No email, sms or paper transaction confirmation was received for any of these. The first I knew about being overcharged is when I got the card statement to find charges of over £800 for each one, which is more than the original flights. I had screen shotted the price quote for 2 of the 3 however.
I've been hassling BA customer services since May on this now, and have had an apology that the price I was quoted was not what I was charged, and that they would get web services to look into it. Apart from this, a wall of silence. My credit card company won't reverse the charge unless I can send them receipts, which I don't have as I was never sent them.
Any advice gratefully received.
