We were also there this past Saturday night. The first time in quite a while that I've seen a Saturday night that was not sold out, but there was still a medical conference (diabetes this time).

We requested upgrade to a Corner King room, which flustered the FD a bit, since after staying in this room several times we had told them that we would prioritise a garden view (we prefer the garden on the southeast side with the pond and little waterfall) over the extra space. The Corner King is a very well laid out room, with lots of space, but the windows are smack up against the Red Cross building, making for a crappy view and a bit dark as well. But we thought we'd just like to sit around Sat afternoon and read the newspapers and wanted the extra space. Due to its poor view and location all the way at the end of the annex (which is a good hike from the lobby but very convenient if you're using the gym or spa), they often do not bother to offer this room as as Diamond upgrade, but for anyone looking for extra space, you might want to ask if it is available.
