It is virtually impossible to get a cheapish fare from anywhere in Europe to HKG on QR. Cos the connecting flight is on CX, and CX zeroes out the lowest fare classes. If one wants the cheaper booking fare on QR metal, they'd have to overnight on their own dime.
In such case, it would be better QR really leaves OW and QR reinstate double daily DOH-HKG.
