I'm flying to Venice with a connecting flight in London with BA. When I got to the airport I was informed the flight to London is delayed 3 hours and I'll therefore miss my connecting flight to Venice. The agent told me I'd fly out of Gatwick to Venice later that afternoon. I assumed I would get a ticket for the bus paid for by BA but they told me I'd have to pay for it myself, £25. I'm only carrying a MasterCard with me, no cash or debit. Will I be able to pay for the bus to Gatwick with it?

Also, would I be able to get compensation from BA after my flights? Not only am I arriving at my destination more than 6 hours later than I booked but I have to pay for a bus ticket too?
