But here's the thing - I don't see the value of gold for me to do another TP run. GF is a bit nicer than GC. The extra luggage allowance is useful sometimes. I've seen a decline in Op-ups since going gold. Otherwise, as a silver, I'd get priority boarding, priority seating (except exit rows - but I'm almost always in WTP - so gold only helps me on high-J 747s - and I don't know what that'll be like on ultra-high-j 747s). There's a bit of a smug-value about using F check in - but it's rarely faster than J.

The one thing that might prove valuable if/when it happens is the dedicated security lane through to GF. Still not sure that's worth a TP run and associated cost.

So if/when I end up back at Silver (which won't be until 1st January 2017 at the earliest) - I won't be crying too much.
