With e-tickets, of course, that's much more difficult to find out than it used to be with paper tickets. If you can access your booking through classic.checkmytrip.com, that might be one way of finding out.

In your position, I'd want to know whether I had been given a boarding pass for a flight on which I had a valid ticket.
