I find myself with basically two full days available to travel from Amsterdam to Almeria, Spain in a few weeks...I will be done working at 6pm in AMS on Friday and I do not need to be in Almeria until Sunday night.

For a change from the normal, I was considering spending Saturday traveling from Amsterdam to Paris on Thalys and then from Paris to Barcelona on the TGV, then fly from BCN to LEI on Sunday.

My question is whether the train journey is scenic enough through this part of France to justify the time and money. The train tickets are more costly than an air ticket on Vueling from AMS to LEI.

Otherwise I might go to London on Friday night and fly from there to AGP on Sunday, and then drive to LEI.
