One advantage of keeping them separate is that you have control over which account TYP are redeemed from. In a shared account, the soonest-expiring points are redeemed first, which makes it harder to use up points on a card you eventually decide to cancel; instead, you have to close the account the account & then spend the associated TYP in the 30-day window thereafter. If you'd rather not have that time pressure, stick with separate accounts.
