I received a letter from AMEX earlier this week. Here is an excerpt below (abbreviations mine):
In the mailing that we sent you in Oct 2014, we had stated that starting Jan 1, 2015, PRG Card members would no longer be eligible to receive an additional 15k MR points for spending $30k per calendar year. Instead, we should have let you know that this Additional Points Benefit will no longer be available effective Jan 1, 2016.
I'm not happy about this. A full nine months have passed before they sent out a letter to correct this with no restitution offered. I'm debating what to do right now. It may be too late for me to spend $30k on this card with less than half of the calendar year to go.
Did anyone else receive a similar letter from AMEX?
