However, a large number of destinations are 1X daily. And their departure and arrival times at DUB do not make for convenient connections for TATL flights. I'm not sure how much IAG wants to invest into such an expansion; given that BA serves most of those same desintations, plus more, with greater frequencies. I do agree that DUB will be used for TATL connections with cities in the UK, over a LHR connection.
My impression -- from something I read somewhere - was that it would be the place IAG would guide NA traffic to places like Glasgow, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, etc, not sure specifics -- but the piece I read had referenced that KL/AF had been taking lots of non-LHR TATL traffic and it was hurting BA on other routes - to Asia and Africa as a result.
