I would rather the CC made an effort to interact with passengers and show character than to remain "perfectly behaved" all the time. If people don't like the crew attitude on BA they can take their business elsewhere.

Last month flying back from JFK to LCY with my brother one of the cabin crew asked how we decided upon what surname to take.

Both my brother and I laughed and enjoyed watching the reaction of the crew member that quickly realised her fail. I can however see that if this was said to someone less relaxed than us then it could probably be quite an awkward situation.

You can't please everyone and make everyone smile but I would be worried if they stopped trying.
