We are very quickly ending up in OMNI territory, but there is a link to the competitiveness of any EU / US airline, including BA.

Everyone judges the world according to their own frame of reference and experience. We can try and export our values and political systems to the rest of the world. Has it ever worked ? Ever ? A farmer in Afghanistan doesn't care about his vote, he wants a strong warlord to protect his crops... Unions and labor laws in the ME and Asia I don't see happening in any powerful way. Not that I am against it, but their society is structured differently. We see labor as a right, they see it as a privilege. I'm cutting corners a bit, but you get my point. And yes, I am talking from experience a bit....

With those restrictions I am actually amazed that BA can compete and provide a very reasonable F product. ^
