This was the condition of the overhead panel right above me on my flight yesterday from DEL to IDR.

Flight was full with two vacant seats, both were given to 6E, 6D (I was on 6F), I asked the staff, why were they being moved and then he pointed to the overhead panel and he said, "it is unsafe to be seated here" to which I replied, "So, I am expendable?" . The guy just walked away. I dont know what is happening to AI.
