Why would anyone not want to rent a car in Vegas?? Rental costs are about the cheapest in the country.
I suppose if you are going to spend all you time in one casino, but try walking even taking the trains/trams from say The Venetian to Mandalay Bay when its 115 degrees in the August.
Look at it this way, cost = 1 roll of the dice.
