A rental car company in CT just lost a law suit because they were imposing these huge "fines" on people who were speeding in their cars. The fact that they were doing so was also buried in the fine print, so no one knew what was going on until they returned the cars and got "fined" several hundred dollars.
Don't rent from US or anyone else who tries to do this, I don't want the major rental companies to get any more bad ideas (i.e. Dollar's thumbprinting).
