When the A388 was doing the training run to Frankfurt I asked if I could visit the cockpit after we landed and they said yes so I visited and got to sit in the captains seat and got a picture taken too! So it does happen!

I remember when young going to SA and visiting the FD in flight especially in the early morning when the sun was rising and you had to walk quietly through First to get there!!
