Does anyone have any experience with UK-sourced BB 7230's? I'm in the processing of buying one (from e-bay) and it was advertised as 'unlocked', but now I'm seeing that that doesn't count for much.

My company doesn't use BES, hell, we're so cheap, we just about have e-mail! Anyway, I'd like to use it for my personal e-mail (Tiscali/BTInternet) and I'm wondering if I need to do anything with my mobile provider to facilitate this? I'm currently using T-Mobile (UK). The BB was originally on T-Mobile anyway, and I have a GPRS account, so do I need to do anything else, or just go to a URL and set it up?

Sorry to sound like a complete novice!

As long as T-Mobile UK allows the use of the blackberry.net APN on your account (assuming post/monthly paid and NOT pre-paid) then it *should* work. Worst case, call T-Mobile UK, tell them you have a Blackberry, they *might* try to charge you a monthly useage fee for data thresholds on traffic via the blackberry.net APN (required as all email is secure via the Blackberry network back-end)
