Did you get the India contact centre? I find they are clueless (still relatively newly trained), which is why I try to connect with the England contact centre (which is the option to 'change or cancel a booking'). Try that to fix things...
I believe it has been the England contact center based upon the accent. I'm currently an hour in on another phone call trying to get a reservation ticketed. This is the third time. The person trying to help isn't capable and isn't able to "get through" to the correct department. I've booked millions of award miles and this is by far the most frustrating. Still waiting .....
