Train CGN-FDH? A joke, I did a similar ride last week missing a few connections ending up in a regional train with broken Air Condition instead of a nice ICE.

They should accommodate you either on DUS-FDH or CGN-FMM on Intersky or CGN-ZRH. LH is very good in ignoring EU261 (Art. 8 in this case).
