At least they know where your bags are!!!

I left my roller-board bag on the jetway in Dallas for my Jazz flight (CRJ) on Friday afternoon right next to my co-worker's.

His bag arrived in Toronto, but mine did not. Of course, everyone at Air Canada asked me for my baggage receipt as proof of having left a bag.

Apparently leaving a bag on a United jetway with a Star Alliance Gold tag on it doesn't allow anyone to locate the bag. I'm told it will be at least 5 days before anyone opens the bag and finds my phone number.
