Flight delayed -- go to airport later?
Just received an SMS that British Airways flight 268 from LAX to LHR is delayed until 1am (was scheduled to depart 9:40pm).

Am I allowed to leave my house later and show up to the airport later (past the initial departure time)? What if they leave earlier? Do I miss my flight?

btw here is the email I received "Flight BA0268 on 07-Jul/LAX - is delayed until 0100 AM local time on 08 July. Airport check-in will close at 2355 local time on 07 July. BA apologises". Does the fact that they discuss the check-in time allow me to get to the airport later? After reading the board it seems people generally suggest getting to the airport at the normal check in time unless check in is specifically described.
