If I'd been paying attention, I'd have got my wife into the program too, as her trips haven't been earning anything this year. She'd have been MVP by now too :-(
Any trips she has flown on AS metal in the last 6 months can be submitted for retroactive credit, IIRC. Remember it only takes 20K miles on AS metal to make MVP, so this might be worth doing.
As for me I will finally requalify for MVP on an upcoming flight in PE on AF. That trip will also take me a significant chunk of the way to MVPG, which I will probably make in early December on my annual trip to RSW. If I have a 2nd trip to Europe pop up this year, I will credit it to DL and ensure that I at least make FO, as I will not have enough miles to come within spitting distance of 75K this year.
