With my Dropbox storage promo running out, and already being gigs and gigs over the free limit, I've been looking at Dropbox alternatives and found Amazon Workdocs (formerly Zocalto) which offers pricing based on storage used (much cheaper than Dropbox) with most of the same features as far as I can tell.

The problem is they offer no technical support save for discussion forums that go largely unanswered by the Amazon tech team.

Just curious if anyone else tried this service...I have a S3 subscription where I store backups, but uploading and downloading by FTP is a huge pain vs the seamless integration with Dropbox, and what I hope is the same seamless integration with Workdocs.

1. the sync client for Mac opens and then crashes at login - so I can't even get started
2. they don't state if you can merge S3 and Workdocs accounts and get the content to appear together in the sync client
3. they don't state if the sync client enables a 'native view' in Finder or Explorer the same way Dropbox seamlessly integrates with your OS

Maybe the solution is not ready for prime time, but if anyone else who tried it can share their experience, it would be appreciated.
