Hi everyone,
I had a question please. When I signed up for the Aeroplan TD, they said that after making the purchases, I’ll be able to get a 2 for 1 short haul trip. As it is impossible to contact Aeroplan as they have long hold lines and no one answers I need to know:
1. Does the 2 for 1 option automatically activates when I make purchases or I have no choice but calling Aeroplan to make that reservation?
2. Or is TD the one who activates reward for 2 for 1 there and I can contact the TD customer service line to help me with booking the 2 for 1?
3. Or if I can just do it on their website?
4. When it says 2 for 1, do I have to pay for the 2nd ticket’s taxes as well or it is covered in the price that I pay for the 1st one?

1. No, you have to call Aeroplan to make the reservation. I think they will waive the booking fee though

4. Yes, you have to pay all taxes & fees on BOTH tickets. All the 2 for 1 does is save you the points cost of the 2nd ticket.
