simit, stuffed mussels, turkish delights/baklava at a cafe, fish sandwiches by the water, manti's, turkish breakfast - menemen, sucuk, olives, breads, cheese.
Also find a good restaurant that serves good mezes (I recommend Meze by Lemon Tree), try some ottoman era food (Asitane).
Even kebabs have many regional varieties - Adana, Cag, iskender
lots of good stuff
Don't forget foods from East Turkestan over in Zeytinburnu. Lagman, manti and plov are plentiful!
