The errors may appear trivial, but it really points to a bigger issue about Canadian ignorance of American geography,
I say a bigger issue is the now very common attitude (not just in the airline, airport or travel industry) that any old half-assed job will do. Just slap any old piece of garbage together -- accuracy isn't of any concern. Besides, it's just to make it look like were were actually doing something. No one's actually going to use it.
Sadly, I encounter this attitude throughout the world, in organizations large and small, government and private. And it seems to know no bounds.
In a museum in Chicago, I once saw a map of the world showing the only two countries in the world that
don't use the metric system -- the US and Liberia. Only Vancouver Island was shaded as part of the US.
I'm not offended by it, but it does make one wonder about the end result if the museum is supposed to be educating, young minds in particular.
(And yes, I pointed it out, and received a dis-interested shrug in response.)
