When I connected from DCA through ORD to SJC in June, I had a 45 minute connection. I had plenty of time to grab myself McDonalds and schlep it from K to H with a wheeled carryon without any problems at all.

With that said, I can imagine at a huggggeeeeee airport such as DFW, there could be more potential for problems with banking.
