I think some of us use this terminology in different ways, so for clarity (and correction

) I mean a route which visits an intermediate point but keeping the same flight number for both sectors. For example, aa.com finds US435 flying ATL-SEA with a stop in PHX.
Would this count as a single 2181 miles ATL-SEA segment (210TP in First), or two sub-2000 mile segments (60TP + 60TP)

?
IMHO, same flight number = single flight (e.g. 2181 miles in this case), separate flight number on same PNR = two flights (1000+ miles each). I'll let someone more authoritative take the TP question, because I still get caught out here with fare classes on US domestic flights.
