There is no reason at all DL could not sell O/W at 17.5K each, RT at 25K each. In that case, it would be unreasonable to expect DL to split it to 12.5K.

DL most certainly never has said that O/W is half of RT.
Oh my, another thing to check when booking flights.

However, of one ways award tickets aren't supposed to cost half as much, other things equal, as a RT, they why was there the big fanfare when DL started supposedly offering genuine one way award tickets? We could always get one ways for the same price as a RT.
