There is no reason at all DL could not sell O/W at 17.5K each, RT at 25K each. In that case, it would be unreasonable to expect DL to split it to 12.5K.
DL most certainly never has said that O/W is half of RT.
When I booked it, yes, OW was available at 12.5k both ways.
When I was talking to the agent to split it, DL.com was offering OWs at 17.5k and the RT at 35k. So in this case, the RT price was indeed the exact combination of the two one-ways.
