Any suggestions to help make up my mind? Price doesn't matter as I have a certificate.
Stayed at the Ren during Christmas holiday last year and I can tell you that we are all very disappointed (despite the fact that we got it through LNF).

The rooms were dated - Plat arrival gift choice provided but NEVER credited the points. The lounge is OK - with hot offerings and compared to IAD Marriott it's poor, and compared to Marriott Bakersfield is better.

As plats (booked 1 room each), no upgrade. The hotel wasn't busy at all so I guess they don't want to upgrade us. NO shower gel in our rooms.

The second day both our doors didn't work and we had to wait 15 minutes outside to get it sorted out.

The most ridiculous thing was that at check-out, we were told that the folio is zero, and we didn't pay yet. So the FD was trying to check on their system and insisted that it was zero. After 15 minutes I said put it on my card and we left.

When we got home our cards were charged on the date we checked in! No points even after complaining (I don't have a folio that stated that I paid so couldn't do the missing points thing). Called MR Plat line to resolved the problem.

The location of the hotel is not great if you are aiming on going to the strip, but since we used it to be the last civilization to stock up instant noodles we don't mind that it's not a strip hotel.

The above was our experience and I hope it helped you to decide.
