I can transfer directly to British Airways or United. They don’t operate the corresponding routes themselves (I tried searching flights on their websites and it returned nothing). In theory, I have to be able to use the airlines from the entire alliance (eg, BA and AA are members of OneWorld). However, it doesn’t work in practice.

For instance, BA website has a route map that shows a route from St. Louis to Myrtle Beach served by AA, but when I click on it, I am simply redirected to the AA website which is useless to me since I don’t have AA miles. Could you please tell me what to do.
You have two options:

Go to www.united.com, find flights with availability, and then transfer your Chase points to United, and voila. You will have to connect in Chicago, Newark, Houston, or Washington. (In the case of Myrtle Beach, United only flies there from Chicago). This will cost 25,000 points.

Go to www.aa.com, find flights with availability, and then transfer your Chase points to BA, go to the Avios website, find the flights, and voila. You will have to connect in either Chicago, Dallas, New York, Charlotte, Philadelphia, Washington, or Miami. (In the case of Myrtle Beach, AA flies there from Charlotte, Washington, or Philadelphia). The amount of points is dependent on where you fly through since Avios points are by distance versus regions.
