Oddly and worringly, without the firewall it works fine and picks up the CDDB information. So now can rip CDs but is painfully slow compared with the Musicmatch software bundled with the iPod.

So now I'm left ripping the CDs using Musicmatch and transferring them to the iPod using iTunes. Musicmatch has much better renaming funcionality etc., esp if importing downloaded MP3s.

My advice? iTunes looks nicer, but stick to Musicmatch or your other favourite ripper.
