Something wrong here. I don't believe LH ever had 727, at least since I can remember. Back in 1970 they already had 737s.

so, either it was not LH (consistent with "barebones") or not a 727.

Actually the "barebones" thing, plus the feel of a 727 smells like a former Soviet plane. Except I don't see which Star Alliance partner would operate one of these....
