a lot of airports can be / delays cause misery in general, though yes, lack of lounge make spending more time there than budged / needed a bit more painful.

which is why i suggested arriving into london is a no-brainer for vote for LCY, whilst departing is different story (though i wouldnt dream of doing my bi-weekly EDI trip from LHR just for the lounges - it's such a faff for such a short flight when LCY is so efficient).

different for holidays where I might be more in the mood to have "big airport" feel as said in other threads but if i need to travel efficiently (to e.g. EDI on a very regular basis), LCY without a lounge wins over LHR
