Hi - I have a question about BA Holidays and didn't want to start another thread.

Late last week I was looking to book a short trip to the Caribbean which would include a hotel for 5 nights but the plan was to start our holiday via AMS as this makes our different schedules easier to manage/co-ordinate.

I called BA to ask about some of the details and, after discussing my questions the rep then said that I wouldn't be able to collect any bonus Avios as I was a UK BAEC member and if the booking was to be in Euros, I would be ineligible. Now I wasn't thinking about the bonus as I'm not actively collecting them but I've always assumed the bonus was there for everyone?

Out of curiosity I've spent some time looking for this info on the BA website - and I cannot find it. Has anyone else come across this? I've booked the trip anyway but I'm curious as I simply cannot find the info related to the restriction. A link to the appropriate info would be most welcome if anyone can share?
