Empower is not mysterious. It's the same power coming out of your car. For example, Targue makes an adapter that works in both cars and planes that has a 120 watt capacity using your car battery but only 70 watts in a plane. It's apparently a limitation that the airlines have imposed.

My daughter who is off to school wanted a desktop disguised as a portable. So I bought her a Compaq 3000 with a regular Pentium processor and a 16 inch screen.

According to Targus, their adapter will work on her computer in a car but not in a plane. So she was unable to play Solitaire on her way to school.

But other than Big Bad Berth her name for her computer, a simple adapter will work fine.

But be careful. If you have a computer with a large screen and a regular Pentium processor just because there is an adapter plug available for your computer, doesn't mean it'll work in a plane.
