Situation: By the end of my membership year (December) I'll have enough tier points for gold, but only 2 qualifying flights. I'm looking for the easiest way to get the extra 2 flights, and I'm thinking it will be best to get them when I'm back in the UK on holiday in October. I fly out of LHR at about 11am on the 21st October. Is there anywhere I can get to and back on the morning of the 21st and still make my long haul flight? Failing that, I could get an evening flight somewhere on the 20th, stay over and grab an early flight back to LHR on the 21st. In that case, where would you recommend that is a) easy/short and b) cheap.

Could I get your suggestions please?
