Welcome to FT!

The "Mileage Run Deals" forum (and its sub-forums, "Mileage Run Discussion" and "Premium Fare Deals") are probably worth following.

If you are based in the U.S. and are credit-worthy, you can amass a great deal of frequent-flyer miles and travel-credit cash by churning credit cards. Check the various FT credit-card forums.

If you will be traveling in Economy Class, consider that some FFPs (including AA's) offer lower redemption rates during "off-peak" seasons.

Note that the very same frequent-flyer award seat can cost vastly different amounts of miles, depending on which program's miles you use for the redemption. And some programs charge hefty cash surcharges on redemptions on some routes and/or on some carriers that would make your miles almost worthless -- especially if redeeming for Economy Class travel.

It can be a tricky game.
Thanks guv! This is helpful. Looking forward to more.
