I have Norton, and I do it "manually" every 2 or 3 days; I have enabled automatic LiveUpdate(!?!). The last couple of days I got updates every day or so.
Mrs. USAFAN has McAffee - It updates almost automatically, only once in a while a "manual" update is necessary.
