Are you on a network or stand alone? if it's a network then the servers DNS cache could be all messed up. It could also be any of the different host files on the system, what I would try is to put an entry in your hosts file for those two and try seeing if that gets you to the right place, this will bypass any network or other caching services.
Try going to the 66 number above by typing it in your address bar. that should get you to yahoo.</font>
Interesting. I typed in the Google string of numbers in the address bar, and was
finally able to bring up the Google page and do an actual search successfully.
As far as Yahoo! is concerned, I did the same thing but was unsucessful receiving a page that said
<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Sorry, the page you requested was not found</font>
I did go out dos and performed what you asked and it seemed to provide four strings of the number you provided before returning me back to a C:.
One of the two is certainly better than nothing, but I am still perplexed as to why Yahoo is not registering. I can actually perform searches by clicking on links through the site, but not by manually typing things in the field.
