I can't understand why people create thses things.

Restoration restores the previous state of the operating system and removes programs installed after the restore point. It will not effect your data files, such as Word doctuments. It's worth a try.

A less drastic shot is to download Explorer again before you restore your system.

If restore doesn't work, as an interim measure you can download Netscape Navigator and use that as your browser for searches.

Good luck, these viruses are horrible.
